Kakalas Simos – acting/ improv

Resume

He was born in Thessaloniki and graduated from the Drama School of the State Theater of Northern Greece (KTHBE). He has directed performances for KTHBE, the National Theatre, the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, the Onassis Foundation and the National Opera.

His works have been presented at Dialog festivals (Wrocław, Poland), 40th Tampere International Theater Festival (Finland), 43rd Kontrapunkt International Festival (Szczecin, Poland), Sibiu International Theater Festival (Romania), Heidelbergerstuckemarkt (Heidelberg, Germany), New Greek Wave (Bremen, Germany), Europe Speaks Out! (Stuttgart Staatsschauspiel, Germany) and Festival of the Union of Theaters of Europe (UTE).

As a professor of acting, he has taught at the drama schools of the National Theater, KTHBE, DIPETHE of Patras, as well as in the directing department of the National Theater.
