The seminar ” The Poetry beneath Absurdity” by the award-winning Greek director and performer Evripides Laskaridis, which was held for the 3rd year at “Theater IΟΘ”  Higher School of Dramatic Arts , was successfully completed.

In the seminar , Mr. Laskaridis proposed interpretive tools derived from his many years of research into the concepts of transformation and the ridiculousness, as well as his extensive background in physical theater and ancient Greek drama. With the comic and the grotesque as his starting point, but also everything that is considered “external”, Laskaridis attempted a path of investigation from the outside to the inside, always taking into account the unique artistic status of each participant.

This year’s seminar-workshop was held in three weekends, as more than 60 professional performers (dancers, actors, singers, performers) from the field of performing arts, as well as students and graduates of professional schools of dance and theater participated. The participants expressed enthusiasm for the experience, stressing that the workshop offered them new interpretive tools and helped them deepen their understanding of fundamental concepts of physical theater and performance.
