Lena Filippova
Lena Filippova was born in Russia.
She studied at the State Institute of Drama in Kyiv. She graduated with honors and received the title “Master of fine Arts”.
She started working as an actor and director in the USSR. Coming to Greece, she learned the Greek language at the University of Athens. She studied at the Faculty of Law of the same University.
She has directed over 30 shows.
She collaborated with the Georgian director Robert Stourois and the choreographer G.Aleksitze.
She has co-written the script for the film “In Kastellorizo”. (Director A. Papadopoulos). The film was distinguished at the Festival of Clermont-Ferrand in France. In Greece, it received the State Prize of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
She attended 5 cycles of seminars with the Russian director A. Vasiliev.
She has taught acting at the University of the Peloponnese as well as improvisation, text analysis at the Drama Schools (“Archi”, “Contemporary Theatre”, “Modern Times”, “Delos”, etc.). She has held many seminars funded by the European Union, as well as a cycle of seminars “K.S. Stanislavski System” at the Hellenic American Association.
In 2002 she founded the theater group “ITHO”.
She teaches Acting and Directing at the Drama School of DIPETHE Patras and at the Drama School of the National Theatre.
