Alegia Papageorgiou was born in Athens. She studied Interior Design (BA) at the University of Derby (UK), Scenography (MA) at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London (UK), and also attended the MA ArtScience program at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (NL). She works in the fields of theatre, cinema, and performance, and also creates visual installations.

Her professional experience includes participation in the world premiere of Edward Bond’s play Dea at Sutton Theatres (UK), productions by the National Theatre of Greece, the Athens Biennale, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the Comédie de Reims (France), the Swedish National Opera, and others. She has also participated in visual art exhibitions in Greece and abroad (London, Netherlands, Venice, Berlin, Cyprus, Lisbon, Croatia, Athens, Thessaloniki, etc.).

She has collaborated with scenographers and costume designers such as M. Pantelidakis, E. Nathena, K. Zamanis, P. Mexis, A. Mendis, and others, as well as directors such as G. Kakleas, E. Karakoulis, G. Koutlis, D. Lignadis, D. Liolios, K. Markoulakis, A. Bennett, A. Biniaris, E. Birba, V. Papavasiliou, G. Papageorgiou, G. Petrou, K. Rigos, S. Spyratos, Rootless Root, E. Laskaridis, and others.
