The application to participate in the entrance exams can be submitted from today until September 10, 2024 through the email address info@sxoli-theatrou.gr.

Alternatively, applications can be submitted to the school’s headquarters (Akadimias 98-100) after a telephone appointment at 210 7101411

For the academic year 2024 2025, the faculty may create in the A year 2 sections (morning and afternoon) with a maximum of 22 students per section.

Necessary supporting documents for participation in the Entrance Exams:

 a) Application which is signed by the person concerned, has the position of a responsible declaration and mentions his details, as shown on the police ID (first name and last name), and necessarily e-mail address (e-mail), residential address, telephone number as well as the type of secondary education qualification held. b) High school diploma of N. 1566/85 or high school leaving certificate from a high school or other equivalent school in the country or abroad, in a clear photocopy. For high school diplomas from schools abroad, a certificate of correspondence with high school diplomas from the country is required, which is granted by the local Directorates of Secondary Education.

c) Police ID or passport, in clear photocopy. In the event that the patronymic does not appear in the passport, it should be proven by submitting an additional official document (a clear photocopy).

In case the candidate’s name is written in Latin characters, a supporting document must be submitted with the rendering of the name in Greek (e.g. AMKA printout).

The supporting documents submitted with the participation application are not returned to the candidates. An application for participation that is not accompanied by the required supporting documents or has not been submitted within the prescribed period will not be taken into account.

The examined courses are the following:

a. Acting

A monologue (of the candidates’ choice) from ancient drama, classical or modern repertoire.

Improvisation on the occasion of a text or a topic, which will be given to the candidates by the Examination Board on the day of the examination.

b. Recitation and Song

Recitation of a poem (of the candidates’ choice).

Performance of a song without musical accompaniment (of the candidates’ choice).

c. Basic theoretical knowledge of Theater History and Literature

The course is examined orally or in writing (in the Greek language, with the elements of the Greek alphabet). Candidates are asked two or more questions from the History of Theater and one or more questions from the History of Greek Literature.

Candidates must carry their police ID or other official proof of identity with them during the Examinations.
