OPENING OF THE 2023-24 ACADEMIC YEAR WITH A FREE PERFORMANCE ART SEMINAR WITH ASIMIS ALEXIOU, EXCLUSIVELY FOR “THEATER 100” STUDENTS
The opening of the 2023-24 academic year for “THEATER” students begins with the free seminar on Performance Art. All our students will attend an intensive performance art specialization program with Asimis Alexiou, certified by the Royal College of Art, London.
The purpose of the seminar is to study performance art and explore the dialogue with other performing arts such as theater. The contemporary approach to the performing arts promotes the questioning of traditional acting (speech and movement dichotomy) and the transformation of speech into matter. Students will practice specific and structured processes to become “Creators” who know themselves, have critical thinking, discourse, control and can respond to creative challenges. They will work on developing their imagination, their technique and their means of expression. The offered five-day seminar will take place on the premises of the school from Monday, September 18 until Friday, September 22.
